Press Release for Immediate Release:

June 25, 2012

13th ANNIVERSARY GIRLFRIEND WEEKEND
AUTHOR EXTRAVAGANZA
The Gilded Age!
January 17 – 20, 2013
Jefferson Tourism and Transportation Convention Center
305 E. Austin
Jefferson, Texas 75657

My dearest darlings!

Our Pulpwood Queen Book Clubs have grown to over 500 chapters of women and yes, a few excellent gentlemen who have become my nearest and dearest friends for a lifetime. After appearances on Oprah Winfrey’s OXYGEN NETWORK, ABC’s Good Morning American, The Oprah Winfrey Show and more newspapers, magazines than you can ever possibly imagine; we are now the largest “meeting and discussing” book club in the WORLD!

In celebration of our 13th Anniversary, I have selected as our theme for this year, THE GILDED AGE!

With this being the 100th anniversary of the sinking of Titanic and the popularity of the Masterpiece PBS television series, DOWNTON ABBEY, I have been so inclined to select this time from the turn of century through the Victorian and Edwardian era for our celebration in reading. We harbor no sinking ships or are truly royal, but The Pulpwood Queens embrace a real sense of play and using our amazing imaginations through our capital reads!

As of August 1, 2012, Pulpwood Queen Packages for members are $300 and for non-members $400 with the price going up to $350 for members/$450 for nonmembers until we are sold out.  Call 903-665-7520 or email
Kathy@beautyandthebook.com for your package.  We accept all major credit cards.

‘Downtown Abbey is a microcosm of society.  It had its own machinery that needed to keep working – it’s not masters and slaves but had its own order in which everyone depended on each other to keep it going.’

As all authors are encouraged to participate in all activities, feel free to ask for books to be signed by those authors throughout the weekend. .
